If you ever want to know what the "real deal" is follow the money trail!!

Ammo will continue to be available as will virtually every type of firearm currently allowed by law.
When it all comes down to what counts: Money talks and bulls#!t walks!!

There is plenty of money in firearms & ammo sales and taxes to be collected on both, although I can foresee tax rates rising on both also!!

We live in a capitalist, democratic republic and taxes fuel government.

So true. What's this taxing of gun owners thing going on? I be heard some talk about it but haven't read up on it or even know if it's just hearsay.

The Pittman/Roberts act (I think) imposed a federal tax on all sporting goods back in the 1930s. I'm not sure if all firearms are covered by this act, but I know things as mundane as fishing tackle boxes are, for sure!

Yeah I just "heard" a neighbor talking about a special tax just on gun owners. Probably hearsay.

I have tried to ration all calibers I use to last about a year. If/when it hits a critical level, I'll revert to my pellet gun, then maybe buy a bow and arrow set.

For insurance, get an umbrella policy on your home owner's policy - just don't say "Oh, I'm doing it because I own firearms".

i have always been interested in an apple seed shoot. i bought a 10/22 specifically for the event to save $ on ammo (min. 500-1000 rounds required).

now...no .22!?! go figure. i could tap into my reserves, but i'd rather not...and two friends i invited to come along can't find ammo anywhere.

i am beyond sick of this crap!

I've noticed a lot more activity at my club and local ranges over the past year or so. Don't know if the lack of ammo available is the result of more gun owners using their gear or some other reason. I try to get out at least twice a month with 22, 380, 38, 9mm and/or 45acp.
