I don’t think I’m expressing myself clearly. This is what I look like, and what I want to avoid, if I put the butt in my pocket and I try and use the sights:

A) Rifle butt in pocket & head crinked down to sight:

I could shoot a .22 like this with but I don’t want to:

B) Head straight, rifle butt out of pocket. (Think he shoots a .308 like that?)

Nor do I want to do this:

C) Head on rifle butt, butt in air:

This is what I’d like to do. Can any of you tall guys shoot a 10/22 like this?

D) Head straight & butt in shoulder pocket:

Have you tried adding length to your buttstock? Maybe make some shims out of a thick plastic. Or move the scope up to get the proper eye relief
.
And I am going off the frist pic you had. It looks like he is shooting with his left eye and holding the gun in his right hand.

Looks like the guy in the first picture doesn't have the butt of the gun seated properly. I'm no expert by any means but I've been hunting for 10+ years and that looks wrong to me. It should be seated a little higher in"the pocket" of the shoulder.

I shoot my AR 15 /M4 carbine just like the army trained me. I also have a youth model Remington 710 in 243 witch I can shoot one handed if need be and it's about the same size as my AR.
Why is that an insult? I'm from Alabama. I was asking bc I thought you was someone I know.

I cannot shoot most rifles like "D" with open sights. My 10/22, my Remington 7600 and my AR with a scope is no problem to shoot like shown in "D".

I wasn't taking it the wrong way. I just wonted to know. The one thing I know is, I have bin all over the south. And there isn't just a difference between north and south but state to state. And even some parts of the state are different. Big difference in north and south Alabama for example. So it's ok if you don't think it's to good over hear its your opinion. I can say south Alabama isn't like people thank. I know when you think Alabama you probably think of banjoes, people picking up there next gf at the family reunion and people with only 3 teeth and 2 of them in there pocket. (No offense to anyone) the ware I'm grime you got to go about 150 mails north to find that. People on the cost are not the same at all. We do consider our self red neck but more of a modernized red neck. Example we love jacked up (lifted) trucks but for the most part we try to keep them clean and our tires mach. Lol

I'm 6'9 about 260 and shoot several different .22's with no problems. Tactical and 10/22. The only problems I've had are finding good shooting sticks for hunting without spending a fortune lol so I made some.

Vincine...

have you tried gun shows to see what does fit you?
most manufacturers make the same style synthetic for several rifles. If you can find one that fits you then contact that manufacturer to see if they offer a 10/22.

are there any 22 rifles that you do not have this issue with? i didn't read that you stated so.
other wize it sounds like you need an adjustable stock that goes vertical as well as length of pull.
check these guys out for ideas:
http://www.troupsystems.com/leopard%20stocks.htm

some of their stocks have an adjustable cheek rest.

hope this helps and good luck
