The Browning 22LR in the background is a sweet shooter too. The side load port on the stock is something to get used to, but boy do they shoot sweet.

A nylon 66 from remington is a good one to if you can find one for sale used. They have either a detachable mag or a tube fed model. On the tube fed it also takes some getting used to since its in the but of the rifle

I went with Marlin 795 22LR and it cost me $115.00 ($140.00 with tax less $25 rebate). It is a nice shooter and worth every penny I paid for it.

My only problem is that my father-in-law won't put it down when we are shooting together. LOL He loves shooting this little rifle.

There are so many good ones to choose from.

Buy a good, dependable, well-known name brand-that said:

1)cool-buy a lever gun (Henry comes to mind)

2)accurate- get a tube-fed bolt action

3)fun-any semiautomatic, from the Nylon 66 or Marlin 60 to a Ruger

10/22 or S&W 15/22.

Attend an NRA safety course.

Enjoy the holidays.
