Air rifle scope for .22?
Alright, so since I just bought two rimefires and a box of 500 rounds for them I'm a little short on money to toss around and was wondering if anyone knows what would happen if I took the scope off my air rifle and dropped it onto my girls XT-22?

It depends if its a quality scope i used a bb gun scope for my .22 once and it worked fine but it was a high quality scope that ran me about 60 bucks. Could you get a little tasco at walmart for 10-20 bucks? They are good for .22. Also im guessing they dont have iron sights on them?

I don't see it being a problem, the only reason they call it an airgun scope and not a cheap riflescope is bc its not made to withstand the recoil of a firearm, but you should be fine with it on a .22 for plinking. I wouldn't take it hunting critters or expect it to stack bullets in a grouping though. Or just pick up a 20$ tasco rimfire scope, you'd be surprised what u can do with a little tasco.

I'd grab a tasco but for their red dots they run about 50 up in Canada as for their scope, think their 60$?
But it's a crossman "rifle" scope. It doesn't say it's only for air rifles at all and figured since it was fairly cheap it'd be alright if it got messed up while usin it. But wouldn't be for hunting at all, plan on getting an Actualy scope.
It does have iron sight, but we can't seem to dial them in to well. Also haven't exactly tried yet, but she seems to of found where she's hitting and just compensate for the out of zero sights.

Just double checked, their cheapest with no rings or any form of mount is 32.00$ at whole sale and the 60$ one comes with the mounts that we would need. (dove tail)

I picked up this little tasco red dot at Wal-Mart for $40 and mounted it to my Sig522. I haven't used it over 40 yards but, it helped pack 25 rounds in a 5 inch group.

That's pretty much the same one I'm looking at on this whole sale site. I might check my Walmart here....if its there I'll even be able to get it at a discount too.

My tasco isnt a red dot, its a little 3-9x magnification rimfire scope.picked it up for 19.99 at gander mountain. I couldn't see anybody selling them for 60,they're just cheap little 3/4 diameter scopes. But the crossman sounds like it should do fine if you can't find a cheap rimfire scope at the local sporting goods store.
