http://ammofast.com/collections/22lr/products/aguila-copper-coated-hollow-point-high-velocity-superextra-22lr-38gn-50-rd-brick

Edit: Limit (10). I bought 4 myself. Can't wait to try these badboys out. Gonna use some for testing and if good enough going to save for squirrel hunting .

Aguila ammo shoots very good out of all of my 22's. But $7 per 50 is pretty steep!
I've never paid more than $42 for a whole brick/500 rds.

It seems steep but for those of us who don't have ANY whatsoever $0.14/round is not too bad. Much better than paying scalpers and gougers $0.40+ per round!!!

I know some will do most anything for .22 LR but paying almost three times normal retail is certainly not any kind of a bargain. Prices will remain high as long as you and I keep them there.

Aguila is good ammo but a "brick" is 500 rounds and that comes out to $70 which is more than double what it should be. You are probably paying a high shipping charge too. Not a good deal by any means. You can buy good target ammo for that kind of money. Ibmikey is right. Quit feeding the scalpers. Prices will come down when they have to start eating it. Keep your eye on Target Sports and Natchez as they get some in from time to time and sell at decent prices.

Armadriro, No attack on you and maybe unfair on my part as I have .22 to shoot today that I bought thirty years ago so supply is not my problem. Funny but even though I have no need I still find myself looking at the bare shelves in stores for rimfire. :-)

It's $7 dollars for Federal lrn, $9 for CCI pistol match, and $9 for Aguila super maximum at my lgs.

I know the feeling. I too have a good supply but I would like to get some more standard velocity. I was not expecting 22 mag to get short especially since 17 HMR is easy to find. I may "need" to buy a 17 HMR.

Posting this here and there in this section of the Forum. Right now Ammoseek has currently the five least expensive 22 rds. Are: .13 per round for CCI Blazer, .14 per for Winchester 22shot rounds, then the next three listings are .17 per round, including $87 per brick of Thunderbolts....
