Default 50 dollar scope for 10/22?

I've been having a lot of fun with my new ruger 10 22, but I now need a scope! I want to spend around 50. Any suggestions?

WalMart. CenterPoint. nice thing about a 22, they don't have much recoil and most people rarely ever shoot past 75 yards with them, so on a 22 you can get away with a cheap scope.

I'm going to agree with Axxe here. I've got a centre point on.....well had a centre point on my .22 before I traded it and never had a single problem with it at all. My girlfriends rifle wears the same scope and there hasn't been an issues with that one either.

My 10/22 has a Bushnell on it that was lightly used and cost me right around $50.

I have a Simmons fixed power 4x32. They are available at Walmart online for $42. You will find that fixed power scopes are more durable, there is much less to go wrong. You might have to buy a set of rings for the 22 mag. It comes with dovetail rings. I like the dovetail/weaver combo base for its sturdy construction, not to actually use the dovetail. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Simmons-22-Mag-4X32-Rifle-Scope/6340057

Centerpoint 4-16 on wifes custom 10/22 . Good enough for .333 at 50 yards.

check out a LGS for a used scope. i picked up a tasco 3x9x32 for 20 bucks. its super clear, and works great. hey for 20 bucks i couldnt leave it there. for a .22 most any scope should work fine. try to have a look through if you can then buy buy buy.

BSA sweet 22. Available at Dick's for about $50 and it is pretty cool. Has adjustments for various popular bullet weights and loads.
