Dave, if you have this much knowledge. Trust me, I'll check it. Why do you only have 5 posts?

Default 32 RF reloading

Hi Spittenfire. I have been repairing antique guns since 1951. When I surf the
web if I come across someone that needs help with something I know about I
try to help them out. I also post on Gunboards.com and Guns and game.com
Like my pistol smithing I keep my cost to my customers down, I charge 15.00
per hour as opposed to other gunsmiths that have a starting wage of 50.00
per. I retired from Sturm Ruger in 2001 and went into repairing full time. I have posted alot on the shooting of antique pistols.

Cheers
Dave

Default 32RF rimfire

I bought the H&C Collection reloading kit for 32RF and happy with it. You use .22 acorn blankks as primers, they sell bullets and cases and you get black powder. Why pay an arm and a leg for a box of ammo ?

Anyway, it doesn't get used for anything but it has been maintained and every once in a while we like to get it out and squeeze off a few rounds. Does anyone know where we can get some? I've looked online as well as at local shops with no luck. I'm starting to think I'm going to have to start hitting up the gun shows, swap meets and flea markets to find some. If you guys know of a source let me know. Thanks!
If the rifle is not a collectible and you want to return it to shooter status it is a simple matter to sleve the barrel to accept .22 LR. A competent gunsmith can do the job and if done right you will have to look very hard for evidence of the conversion. The hammer needs to be slightly modified too but after the work is done you'll be able to walk into any WalMart for ammo.

I don't want to change it. Part of what makes it interesting is the caliber and since it won't get shot much $1/rd doesn't bother me, I just need to find a source for 1-200 rds.

I would feel the same way as you. I just wanted to offer an option.

I ordered one and have yet to try it out. Let me know how it goes.

I knew where there was some locally for $50/box. I found it long after this thread died. If you need some, shoot me a PM.
