Range I grew up with was 1 mile, from a rifle, pistol or revolver, did not make a practical difference.

Maximum range is about 1 1/2 to 2 miles. Maximum effective range is much less that that.

i shot one straight up to see but could not find it when it came down lol ;)

Are u shooting the sats?
