I own a customized 10/22, that is a stone-cold tack driver and a joy to shoot. The only difficulty I had, before getting it worked over, was it was a bit finicky about the ammo I used. Works flawlessly with CCI Mini-Mag, both before and after customizing. In addition I have a 30+ year old, out of the box, Marlin mod. 60, also very accurate out to about 75-80 yards, and will digest any ammo I feed it.

I don't think you can go wrong with either of those.

I had a Rugar 10/22 and it was accurate and liked CCI Mini-Mags best for accuracy. Shouldn't have sold it.

Just my experience with the 10/22.

I have two 10/22s.
Both are Carbines and one has been Tricked Out, including a 3x9-40 Scope.
I generally shoot 320 rounds in an outing.
I have eight Mags and my Target Board holds 12 Targets that I shoot five rounds each. (60 rounds a session)
With the Scope all of my POEs are in 1/2" or less @ 50 yards.
Iron sights are in an Inch Square.

In 24 months I taken 24 Groundhogs out to 75 yards, and are thel're getting scarce.
A Good thing.

On one gun, I didn't clean the receiver for maybe 5000 roundsand it went full Auto a few of times during one session.
I cleaned it and it was went back to it's normal safe operation.

The very few FTF and FTE, I blame on the Ammo I was using at the time.

10/22s are one of the most fun guns to shoot. So many different mods make it so you can have the perfect build for your liking. I modded mine and turned it into an assault style looking 10/22 but was piss poor accurate. My buddy wanted to play with my wood stock so I let him . Lets just say I got rid of the folding stock and assault style and went back to the basics. My buddy turned that wood stock into a floating barrel style stock with hand grooves.. Love it now...

Awsome work on the 10/22. I like the idea of cutting down afactory stock vs $300 custom. I may just dig one of the old ones out of the closet after looking at this...

Thanks!! Much appreciated. Now I just have to set it up for a floating barrel. Trying to do my research on it to see what will make it perfectly stable. I'm reading that a new V-block will help but mixed reviews. Any opinions would be very helpful. Thanks

That's a real nice looking 10/22! I love the way those hand grooves look.

Yeah was just there but with a folding stock. Gonna keep it old school for a bit with the wood. That's a nice build though..👍
