Default .22 mag Semi-auto Rifle

Am looking for a good reputable .22 magnum semi-auto rifle. Any suggestions on manufacturer or models?

If high quality and looks matter then the Brno 611 is a classic.

Try and find one!

The ZKM is the best ever made. I have had mine for many years. The good thing was I bought 4 extra magazines for it at the time. The rifles are very expensive the mags are over $100 bucks each if you can find them. They did crack the forearms at the rear.

I have been looking around locally and it seems that nobody is carrying .22 mag semi-auto rifles. They are all .22 long rifle. Is there a reason for this?

I just felt that the magnum gave the rifle a little more oomph and better accuracy. I could be wrong. I have heard the .17 cal rifles are great, but the ammo is not near as prolific as .22 cal

I used to have a Winchester 9422M in .22 Magnum -- lever action similar to the 94 30-30. Wonderful rifle. Don't know if they're still made.

Yes, almost every .22WMR semi-auto has failed.

The few that make them right, are expensive...
Volquartzen & Magnum Research make 'em...real pricey tho...
Keltec's RMR-30 has a low MSRP, but demand pushes them into astronomical range...

Marlin's 922M was discontinued along with the Camp 9 & 45 due to Bill Clinton's Gun Ban of 1994...so were a few others...
like the H&R 700...the Grendel R-31...made well, but killed by the ban...hicap mags...
I've got the 922M & Grendel R-31...looking for an H&R 700...when I get more funds to work with...
Got no problem buying more 922M's or R-31's again, I LOVE mine!!
Did have to polish the bolt & rails on the Grendel...along with a few other Goldenloki.com tips...
well worth 30 minutes work

Ruger gave up...they made the 1022M, but stopped & started production 5 times so far, then sold the rights to VQ & Magnum Research...
If you find a 1022M, you'll end up replacing a lotta parts for VQ/other aftermarket supplies...be ready...

The BRNO & CZ offerings are reportedly good, but I have zero experience with 'em...
I'd read into the CZ boards and see what sort of issues they're having before getting one...

Excel makes the Accelerator...which is one of the ugliest 10-rd carbines I've ever seen...same for their pistol...
I've held 'em, just wasn't very fun...especially in comparison the the others...very boxy grip...weird feel to it...
