It could depend on the Eley load, most are target or match grade loads. I usually don't expect to pay less than $7 for some Eley loads, and have paid up to $12 for some of their more select match loads.

Unfortunately with the run on .22 ammo some of the premium loads have been the only ones left on the shelves because of the higher prices they fetch. But they weren't marketed as plinking ammo. One of my local shops only had Eley, Midas, SKB match ammo. Cheapest was $9, most expensive was $15 for 50 rounds.

I still have a decent stock of match ammo but was running low on my plinking stuff until I found the deal at Natchez.

For most Eley except Sport, those are pre-panic prices. That is a good price for Eley Club and a semi-decent price for Eley Target. That's the price you pay for superior accuracy. You just need the right rifle and the skill to get your money's worth.

Well, I'm not sure what Ammoseek your looking at, but I just went there after I read your post and I see several at 12cents per. Round, still not ideal, but better then 18 or 20 cents per,...if those Auto Matches would just come back down to less then $20 a box..then I saw your post was a few days old,..Sry. The CCI Troy Landry is already sold out......

Picked 3 100 rd boxes of Winchester Super X 37gr. Monday at Kmart. price was $5.97 box, with a 3 box limit. Going back in the morning to try it again seeing how Santa left me a new Marlin 795. Its been very hard to find around here but it is starting to come back a little bit.

I am glad that we stocked up prior to this madness. We used to go out and hand each kid 500 rounds and tell them to have fun via AR22 and Beretta Neos. Was very "normal" to rip through 1500-2000 rounds a full day in the desert. And the crazy thing was we'd just stop off at WalMart and buy that much on our way to thes desert to go shooting. And pay 15-18 bucks for 550 rounds. I know the good ol days...

We have a good start to a supply, 4K rounds, but we add to it every chance we get. Hell I get mad if I have to pay 5.00 for 50 rounds! But I don't shoot in competitions, just for fun.

So will the prices ever drop or will they continue to climb.. I've seen a slight drop in almost everything else but not 22lr. It's madness!! The company's an store that sell ammo are supposed to be gun pro an should be about a price drop but no they continue to bent us over!! Seems like greed to me..

We also stocked up Some on 50's Winchester Super X, 100's (Super X & CCI's) and 325's Federal Auto Match, 333 Winchester HPs, and 550 Federal's...so we're down to about 2800 rds. with the Brick of Thunderbolts that we shot about 50% of thus far...I just keep adding the Federal Am. Eagle 50's(a Bit Much at $6.49 a box,..but the Gougers sell it for $10-12 a Box...I buy 150-300 each week even when we don't shoot...I think we'll shoot again this weekend Outside since It's also Someone's B-Day, and It might be the last chance we Get Before Vegas & SHOT...Someone has a New HD Vid Camera, and Something else coming hopefully By Then...
