440 yards, and its still lethal although you probably will have terrible accuracy... this video proves it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUM1r_444CY

I tried the 22lr derringer at 50 then 100 yards yesterday, just to see how well I could do.

I need to learn each barrel's POI so I can do better next time. :P

I noticed that someone mentioned the older .22 Rifles shooting over 100yds, I own a Marlin 89C, and a Mossberg .22, the first thing I noticed in the difference, was the size, the Marlin is much longer, with the longer barrell does that give it the capability to shoot further?

Not really. The powder used in .22 LR ammo burns in approx. 16 inches. A 24 inch barrel actually gives less velocity than an 18 incher.

No, the longer barrel doesn't enable the rifle shoot further, but the increased sight radius allows one to aim more accurately, IF you're using iron sights and not a scope.

Well I mounted my scope on the Marlin89C, Wife wants to go shooting on Mothers day, so we're going to our spot and shoot a few hundred rounds, through the 2 .22's 29MM,
20 guage & 12 Gauge, and chicken for a snack

The longest I've shot with my 22 lr is 115 yards I'd like to take it out to maybe 150 to 200 yards

I will definitely take a couple shots at a rabbit at 115 yards
