That Marlin XT-22 looks great. Anyone know how much it's going for?

The one pictured is out of stock at Bud's but it lists for $265, and that's supposed to be a real Walnut stock. Their prices usually come within a few dollars of my local Wal-Mart. The synthetic stock model listed for $178.

All of the Henry lever rifles will handle .22 shorts, longs, and long rifle. The standard Henry is about $250, the classier Frontier Model about $325.

I was planning to buy a 981T for a while, then the XT rifles were introduced so I figure I could save the $90 price tag on a Rifle Basix or Jard trigger with the new adjustable trigger. The Walnut stock on the one above is what I'll be waiting for.

just looked that up.............awesome!
I'm actually glad I didn't have one of those conversion kits back in the day. with all the drinking and stupid things we used to do we would have probably got our selves in trouble with that one.............there wouldn't have been a bird or squirrel within a block of "the beer cave" LOL

Shorts are wickedly quiet in my old 512 without any other assistance.

I think it has to do with the year the rifle was made. Shorts are getting harder to get and the guns that shoot them are older 22's. I have remmington and stevens both pre 64 that shoot all three.

My old Winchester 06 pump handles shorts, longs, and longrifle nicely.
