I have the same question since ammo is getting more expensive and I have a 10/22 that I traded for in 1966 that Is a good shooting rifle although I like to get something that is different just for some cheap fun.

I have an S&W M&P 15-22, and a Sig 522. Both are Great Guns, and have been flawless..... Knock-On-Wood!

Cheers!

I've got the SW 15-22 and love it. The most fun I've ever had with a .22!

I finally bought a S&W AR15-22 and really like it. I shot a box of 22's and found it was accurate, light weight, and a lot of fun to shoot.

Put this in your pipe and smoke it...err...put one of these on your AR lower and blaze away.
The bolt/carrier assemblies are works of art.
I recommend the AR-22 M4.

Of course you will need some BDM's too.
I recommend the 25 rounders.
