Welcome to FTF. How about you take a moment to introduce yourself in the Intros area?

I don't know any history for you, so the big question is: "Is this your very first AR and just want to start with .22lr? --OR-- "Is this the fifth AR and this time you just want a dedicated .22 plinker?"

You may get some different answers based on this question.

I have a Smith & Wesson AR 15-22 and love it. I can't say enough good things about it.

I bought a colt m4 22lr from i guy a while back, it shoots fine real accurate, feels like a M4 I didn't get the S&W because I didn't like the feel of it not enough metal. The only real problem I have is if I go camping with it and leave a round in the chamber over night sometimes I have to work it out.

Welcome to FTF.

I don't have a mossbege tactical but it is on my list. Done a lot of research on it and it looks like a good rifle. From all I hear it is kinda touchy. So not a great starting rifle even if it is a lot cheaper then the others

i have m&p 1522 just more fun than a 15 $ box of ammo can buy. looked at the colt and fired it works nice. did not like the fake parts. yes the m & p has a lot of plastic but that keeps it lite, 5 lb. fond this site looking for info on the ati 1911-22. great help. hope this info helps

I have the Colt M4 OPS.
It's very reliable, extremely accurate, and a lot of fun.
Very economical too! :)

What is that sight you've got on there, Dino? That looks like it cost twice as much as the rifle.

Hahaha ... it's an ACOG replica.
I bought it on ebay for under $100.
It's a really good scope.
Not an "airsoft" or anything like that.

And EXTREMELY accurate.
Here's a 10-shot grouping at 30 yards.

I've had the gun for about three years now and have not had one single problem.
Then again, I only use CCI MiniMags, not cheap crap ammo.
IMO, the majority of complaints about .22 guns is ammo related.
As cheap as .22lr ammo is, it amazes me how many folks buy crap ammo just to save a couple cents.
