22 ammo

Shoot 22s a lot the price doesn't matter I have been shooting for 3 years and don't know good bullets I have shot them all and don't notice a difference

That could mean one or more of the following are true:
You are an excellent marksman;
You are an terrible marksman;
You have an incredibly accurate firearm;
You have an incredibly inaccurate firearm;
You are shooting from too far away;
You are sitting way too close! :D

What kind of gun & what size groups are you talking about?

If you are shooting at any distance beyond 25 yards, you wont shoot tight strings with bulk ammo. Perhaps you are a better marksman than I am, but I sure can tell a difference.

Welcome to the forum- stop by the intro thread, say hello, and tell us a bit about yourself.

There are a HUGE number of things that will affect size of a shot group- the ammo is only one of them. If I am out plinking tin cans at 25 yards, standing, that is one thing.

If I am shooting a heavy barreled target rifle from a benchrest at 50 yds, trying to shrink a group the size of a dime down to a "one raggedy hole" group, then I am probably shooting some rather pricey Match ammo.

When I was ur age I shot my Marlin 39A ,It would shoot everything I put into it,at 50 yards .Whats important here is that you keep shooting and have fun.:)Cliff

one of the factors i use to determine "good" bullets is how many duds does said box of ammo contain. how consistant is it(one flyer vs 3 or 4 flyers). how dirty does it make my firearm. how well does it cycle, and shoot through said firearm.

for me the list is CCI mini mags,
fiocchi Hp match ammo, federal champions, and winchester. all seem to function the best for me

i know with my hk mp5 22 it is recommended to not run the like 555 bulk ammo. I run all CCI through it.

When I was a kid, I was very accurate with my BBgun.

I'd put so many rounds through it I could sort of

"project" rounds to a target, and I owned anything under 50 yards.

This was with those crappy, flat-sided, brass Daisy BBs. I certainly

was no shooting expert, ergo, I have to submit that practice is

as important as technique.
