.17HMR Suggestions

So now that I have my 22LR and my 22WMR I want to add a .17HMR to the collection. Looking at the Marlin....other suggestions?

Savage 93's are nice and quite functional

Had a Savage for a number of years, but traded it after I got my .22. It was a great rifle, but I just didn't shoot it enough.

The Savage is by far the best bang for the buck. The Accu trigger is great and the accuracy rivals some rifles that cost far more.

I have a 22 LR that shot .4". 5 shots at 50 yards.

I had my gunsmith accurize the rifle (He specializes in savages) and the gun has now shot a best of .117", 5 @ 50.

The .17's are just as accurate as the .22,s, even more so.

Give the Savage a really hard look, I know you would be happy with one.

I'm a retired gunsmith, so I've seen many good guns. The CZ's are also excellent, but the Savage can keep right up with one, and accurized a little will outshoot a stock CZ. I make shooters with Annies mad when I outshoot them with the Savage.

I also happen to know that there will be some really neat accesories and upgrades coming out for the Savages before too long. That makes it worthwhile in itself.

Best Regards, John K

You forgot the point that the Savage is $175.00 more than the Marlin for and equal rifle. Hmmm.
