.17 Winchester Super Mag

Anyone had a chance to play with this one yet? I thought the .17HMR was a hot little number...

I handled the Savage B-mag at the shot show. Gun felt light and cheap. Ordered a few anyway knowing they will sell like hotcakes.
Received one the other day and put it in my personal collection (serial # H990001). Adjusted the accu trigger to the lightest setting (2.5 lbs). Trigger has a little creep which I quickly got used to. Only ammo available was the 25 grn varmint HE (2600 fps). Sighted in at 100 yrds. Groups averaged an inch. One FTF - light dimple from the firing pin (it actually has a firing pin). And one failure to eject. 8 rd Rotary magazine is easy to load and works flawlessly. I'm impressed!
Gun should retail for around $350. Wholesale cost for the ammo will be in line with the .17 HMR.
Mount a quality set of rings and optics and you will have a tack-driver.
Still waiting on some of the HV ammo.

So, I can buy .17HMR for 9.99 to 12.99 & the .17WSM is 16.99 and up how is that in line?? The Last .17HMR I bought this year were 9.99 for 17gr and 10.99 for 20gr, both made by Hornady.

I know this is old but I saw something at sportsmans warehouse that caught my eye. boxes of 17 wsm ammo for 12.99! the same price of the 17hmr sitting right next to it! I was just about to get a 17hmr but with the 17wsm as cheap why would I??
