.17 Win. Super Mag.
Here it is. We've all heard about it. And now we know what it's promising. n=Feed%3A+GunsAndAmmoMag+(Guns+%26+Ammo+Magazine)

3000 FPS rimfire round! Wouldn't that have to a pretty high grain bullet to stable? 20 grains seems too light.

Why not a centerfire round?

Stability has little to do with weight, it has much more to do with ballistic coeficient and sectional density (related). The .17 Rem is stable at almost 4000 fps

I wonder what the price of this new rimfire ammo will be?

That's some pricey rimfire ammo......

Who will make a rifle for it? Does this mean Winchester will design a new rimfire...I hope so!

For the really, really quick squirrels.

I could see this being used on rabbits at range.

Most all of my shooting is at prairie dogs. I like using low recoil low muzzle blast rifles so the new RF Winchester 17 round looks good to me. I have centerfire 17, 204, and 22 caliber and 17 and 22 RF varmint rifles but some days dont feel like reloading 2 to 300 center fire rounds for shooting them. I live in prairie dog so I shoot them quit often.
