10/22 stock help
new to the 10/22 and need a little info please.
i am looking for a cheap "bang around" replacement stock for my classic v 10/22. how do you know which stocks will fit the 10/22 that does not have the barrel band? any suggestions and recommendations appreciated. |
Hogue overmolded 10/22 stock is very nice and durable

Cheap could be the problem. Check over at rimfirecentral for a used and just throw the barrel band away. Cheapest new might be a boyds , check this page out. starting at $54 dollars. http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=10%2F22&Search.x=0&Search .y=0
Finish sand and poly finish it or oil it. NOT Cheap but cost is low. |
+1 To Hardluk1....
Cheap as in price? boyds are pretty good for the price. a few members of my range have them for their kids 22s I got a butler creek composite several years ago to minic my Savage 110. The stocks are nearly identical in size & weight. |
This is the stock that my 10/22 came factory with. Its tough, has a good fit, no barrel band, and has plenty of rails if you decide you need them. I like the fact that the buttstock is collapsable and can be adjusted to fit the shooter like an adult wearing a coat or a kid learning to shoot. Mine gets shot by 250lb men and 10yr old nephews.http://www.cabelas.com/10-22-accessories-tapco-ruger-10-22-920-heavy-barrel-adjustable-stock.shtml?WT.tsrc=CSE&WT.mc_id=pricegrabber&WT.z _mc_id1=708713&rid=40&mr:referralID=8e67733e-4876-11e2-8751-001b2166c2c0

I have my stock on order right now from http://www.rifle-stocks.com/
They are not as cheap, but look a little nicer. It takes 4-6 weeks to make. If i was to go a cheaper more durable route, I would go with this. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=261112980361&index=3&nav=WATCHING& nid=20102810620 It's ambidextrous so all your buddies can shoot it also. |
