10/22 stock help
 

new to the 10/22 and need a little info please.

i am looking for a cheap "bang around" replacement stock for my classic v 10/22. how do you know which stocks will fit the 10/22 that does not have the barrel band? any suggestions and recommendations appreciated.

Finish sand and poly finish it or oil it. NOT Cheap but cost is low.

boyds are pretty good for the price. a few members of my range have them for their kids 22s

I got a butler creek composite several years ago to minic my Savage 110. The stocks are nearly identical in size & weight.

This is the stock that my 10/22 came factory with. Its tough, has a good fit, no barrel band, and has plenty of rails if you decide you need them. I like the fact that the buttstock is collapsable and can be adjusted to fit the shooter like an adult wearing a coat or a kid learning to shoot. They are not as cheap, but look a little nicer. It takes 4-6 weeks to make. If i was to go a cheaper more durable route, I would go with this.

It's ambidextrous so all your buddies can shoot it also.

I like the first one. Nice choice but that doesnt really look like a ''beater'' stock to me. Enjoy.
