10 22 convert to tactical
 

This is my first post. I want to take a 10 22 and put it in a tactical stock. I can get a full kit for about $140. But do I have to buy a the 10 22 whole? cant I just buy the parts I need?

What is tacticool to you. Look'n like some AR remake or one that looks like rugers 10/22 tactical. That ones easy. Hogue overmolded stock and a clark or fedderson 16" bull barrel, add a bi-pod and weaver rail. Your ready to go. Might want to do a trigger up grade like KIDD has for 95 dollars. Go get a used 1022, there are literally thousands in pawn shops all over the USA...
why pay New for something you're going to pull apart anyway??

Or you can buy a 10/22 with all the tacti-cool stuff on it. LGS usually knock $100 off MSRP. The tacti-cool stuff from ruger is better quality.

I think the OP's original question is "Can I just buy the barreled action, sans stock?"
