Just did the mod. Took about 5 minutes. Figured I would give you guys a pic while I have the gun apart for cleaning. (yes I function tested)

That's pretty much how mine looks after the mod. You only need a little arch at the top to make a "D". Great, simple mod, I don't know why Ruger doesn't do this from the factory.

Agreed. It's a simple fix and should be factory. Great mod.
