Swede, you can either have a good one or a cheap one,but I haven't seen both in one barrel. You might want to check out Rimfirecentral.com,there are some 10/22 guru's on that site that can probably point you in the right direction.

I have good experience with the Green Mountain heavy barrel for my silhouette rifle. Mine has the stainless fluted with match chamber. Right around $100. By the way....your ammo selection is also going to have a lot to do with accuracy. It is the 22lr after all.

What do you run for ammo in it? How accurately can they chamber a .22 LR for a specific round?

The Remington 22T has always done well for me for silhouette. I've tried the Wolf Match Target as well with good results but somewhat different ballistics out past the 50yd line. CCI green tag didn't seem to improve on either of those. I seldom run jacketed ammo in this one, even for plinking at the range. The Rem 22T has doubled in price over the past two years. I need to do some more research. Pretty much stick to the 38-40gr lead RN. The match chambers may experience some failures to extract with sub sonic ammo. Most of the highly accurate 22lr rifles will be the single shot bolt actions of course.

Default 10-22 toys

ram rod my two conversions look almost like yours the black with a butler creek barrel and stock the thumb hole(in 17 hm2)ebco parts the most important parts tho are trigger work keeping the bolt face clean and trying different ammo my black 22 loves blazers but the 17 will only eat hornady but there still cheap and fun to shoot 1to1.5 in groups depending on the wind god @100 yds have FUN!!!

Try a box of Rem. Sub-sonics. I have 2 10-22`s also and it will cycle through one and not the other, but it is the cheapest ammo I`ve found that drives tacks in mine.
