A little gift from me to somebody. I will gladly give someone the chance to buy the new WMD Nickel Boron NiB-X AR15. It's in stock here locally. It's sticker price is about $1790 I believe I read. The serial number is 0047. As I understand, 50 were produced in the first batch. Who wants it? All I ask in return, is to tell them I referred you.

They also have a Troy AR in stock on the shelf. It's a local store who hasn't raised prices to insanity levels like so many others. This AR is pretty lightweight, can comes with the troy bus's already installed. I didn't look at the price on this one

So, why is it that color? Just so no one can call it a "Black" rifle? *Wondering how much to strip that stuff and re-plate to the proper color.......*

Yeah it's pretty in the picture but I can't see going for the "gold". I didn't bother to google the specs but anyone interested should.

There is an article about it in one of this months AR related magazines. And it's that color because it's all Nickel Boron plated. They had a couple on gunbroker that sold for about 2200. This one is listed at normal retail which is 1700. I don't really know anything about it. The article in that magazine was pretty positive. I played around with it for a few, seemed of good quality. They say the gun requires only minimal cleaning and lubricant given the NiB coating. I just thought someone may be interested and it was in stock on the shelf for normal price here locally.

Hmmm, people will read "minimal cleaning" as "I never have to clean it." And I doubt the "minimal cleaning" claim. The coating is ugly, unnecessary, and is not going to keep dirt from building up. I say it's a marketing gimmick. JMHO, of course.

Now, a Robar NP3 coating might be interesting, but even that, too light. I think this gun would look best in black, or another very dark color......

I'd love to see one in the titanium gold finish that Magnum Research offers on the Desert Eagle
