I don't have the link, but if you find, and watch the video of them recovering the gun from the trunk, you will se it resembles a hi point way more than a AR.

The term AR=15 has become a generic term like Kleenex, Velcro and NI-CAD which are actually registered trademarks but are used as generic terms

I like the generic term AR or AR-15, just like 1911 or AK/AK47. A 1911 is a 1911 whether made by Colt or Remington Rand, etc.

This happens with military equipment and anything that's manufactured by separate companies.
