I have two Spikes stripped lowers, one is fitted with a DPMS Parts Kit and attached to a DPMS Upper. The other has a RRA two stage trigger parts kit that I have yet to mount to anything, but I have already purchased the YHM 20' 1-7 fluted and threaded barrel and will be getting a YHM upper and bolt carrier group as well as a YHM customozable free float rifle length forearm. So I will be revisiting this thread as a get new stuff to put together.

Is that 20" fluted barrel the diamond fluted version, or standard fluting?

She turned out quite well. Still needs a new stock and an Eotech amd will be completely done.

The barrel I have is the one of the bottem. Description calles it diamond fluted.

My wife's rifle pictured above has the diamond fluted barrel also. I always thought of it as a built in heat sink.
