Good to hear. Is it one of their bargain barrel specials, or do they still do that?

I bought the CMMG MK-4 a little over a month ago. She holds about 1.5 MOA at 100 yards, and could probably do better if a good bench rest shooter were operating her. With the exception of a few finicky rounds in the beginning, I have not experienced a single malfunction in just shy of 2,500 rounds. I love this rifle, but I must mention something I discovered the hard way: a few of the parts are a bit out of spec. Mine came with a commercial receiver extension that is a bit large, and I had to file the piss out of my Magpul stock to get it on there. The gas block section of the M4 barrel was just a touch over .75 inches in diameter, and the muzzle is most certainly not threaded 1/2 x 28 TPI. (My lonely uninstalled Battlecomp can vouch for this, and that unattached muzzle brake is convincing me to shoot out this barrel so I can replace it!) Maybe I bought one of those bargain barrels Quentin was talking about, either way, good luck, and enjoy!

ColdIron, CMMG used to sell used ARs as their bargain special. Often they were parts guns with rollmarks other than CMMG and they usually sold for $599. I don't know if they still do that. If yours was new and not specified as bargain bin, barrel, whatever then this wouldn't apply to you. I wish they'd stop selling the commercial REs, very annoying to buy a stock and have it not fit and the Battlecomp problem would royally pi$$ you off!

There's also this little caveat:

No expert here, but I want an AR that will throw anything that I shove down it's gullet hole down range. I definitely don't want a picky eater.
