Default Wobbly carry handle

I put my carry handle back on my AR today after using an UGLY NcStar scope and it made me remember that it wobbles back and forth alot, more than I would like. Any ideas as to how I can eliminate the wobble? I tried cranking down on the screws holding it on, but nothing changed

What brand are the upper and handle? Sounds like one is out of spec.

The upper is a Stag and I'm not sure about the handle...looking at it more closely now it looks like the screws that hold it in place aren't nearly big enough to fit in the grooves on the top of the receiver

Are there clamps inside those thumb screws?

the crossbolts are suppused to be smaller diameter than the slots by quite a bit. you always push the mount forward on the rail tight for good lockup.

There is one long clamp that holds it on underneath the lip

Weird... Compare it to a good carry handle, the problem should be obvious.
