Default Windham Weaponry?

The LGS has an AR15 in this brand. Can anyone comment on their product, good or bad? Thanks.

I'd have no problem buying a Windham for the right price, if I were shopping today. When Bushmaster joined Remngton, its founder (AFAIR) and some employees stayed in Windham, Mass. with the "new" company.

Its a respectable brand.
when Bushmaster left thier state they left employees and machinery behind.
those guys then formed Windham Weaponry to keep making AR's

Solid mid range products.

Thanks for the responses. The store made reference to Bushmaster, but as this will be my first AR, I want to be cautious. I know nothing about AR's except that I want to add that platform to my collection. The price on the rifle is $950, and once I have the model # I'll be able to compare to see if that's reasonable. I'm sure they'll be cheaper online, but this is MD and they fly off the shelves here.

Factor in the legalities of having it shipped to MD; transfer fees on both sides; and sales tax. Never mind if you have done your math already. One more thing if I may, this is like buying a car from the lot. Cash rules. Unless the item is red hot, the dealer is always interested to have your business in the future. Lay down cash (physically) and negotiate a discount.

A friend has one (second from left) and it appears to be of pretty good quality.

He's enjoying the heck out of it and that's what counts.
