The guy with the knife was fighting like he didn't care if he died. He just wanted to inflict as much damage as possible hoping he could escape. It's hard to say if he had any training. In the US military we were taught to hold on to an opponent with our free hand and just stab him as many times as possible until he was unable to fight back. The attacker in the video had the stabbing part down pat.
