Yes, but then you will need to add roughly $200 for a proper complete bolt and charging handle along with shipping and handling costs that isn't included in that package.

We constantly see this, so here is my question. New gunner, limited budget (under 1100) and you are picking. What do you recommend?

not a new gunner, i just wanted to take on the challenge of building a cheap light weight simple m4/a2 and make it bolth usable and reliable. so far that has worked. i finished the upper and just put 90 rounds thew that set up using my ASA lower. it works great. the recoil on it is odd with the standard rifle buffer and tube. it almost feels as if it recoils twice with each shot.

Fine lookin' A2 Nathan.

I've similar tastes... I've got my Colt CAR target weapon and I wanted the experience of a build. Requirements included budget but reliable. I bought the Palmetto $50 lower, a $125 RRA parts kit with 2-stage triggger, and the Palmetto 1/7 barrel/upper with optional BUPS and MOE fore-end grips. I'm waiting on the finished upper. It's killing me.

I got every thing in now but the lower and lower parts kit. Damn ups sent it to the wrong place and now its been delayed. On the up side. Surplus ammo and arms refunded me the shipping cost. Got to love that.

To every one that said this wouldn't be reliable, this is the first ar15 I have ever had that doesn't care what ammo I put in it.

Today my BCG & CH came in so I put in on my other lower to test every thing out and wow. Tula, Wolf, brown and silver bear, pmc, federal, Winchester white box, and some golden tiger, were all bump fired for a whole 30rd mag and had no issues at all.

This is an A2 upper with a Model 1 sales light barrel, and a Palmetto State Armory BCG & CH.

Works flawless.

Total build is at about $650

just waiting on my stripped lower which should be here by Friday. I will post pix of the complete build.
