Where to get a AR15?

Where is a cheaper place to get a AR15? Or is it cheaper to build your own then buy a already built one?

The advantages of building your own is you get exactly what you want on it. And if money is an issue, you can build as you can afford the parts. If you have the ability to build, that's what I would do.

There isn't any cheap places to get an AR right now. It will cost you roughly 900.00 to build one now. Up about 400.00 in 3 weeks. Complete rifles are going for 1300 up

Building is always better in my opinion... But, parts are pretty well nonexistent right now.

Your best bet if you have to have one now is a gun shop, they are less likely to gouge as much as a private seller. I really don't see you getting one at a reasonable price right now. Me personally, I would either hold out, or pick up an SKS, they are running about $400-$450 right now. Expect to pay $1200-$2000 for an AR:eek: plus AR mags are running $40+ each

personally i think you have come upon the wrong time to either buy or build an AR rifle right now. IMO, i would wait a few months and see if the prices come down and parts and complete rifles become more available again. with the holidays just past and hopefully some of the panic buying will have died off soon enough. lots of speculation in whether there is going to be another ban on certain firearms is going to come to be.

my advice is just sit back and wait paitiently and save up some money so when or if prices do come down, you'll be in a better position to buy either a complete rifle or the parts to build one.
