Congrats on the AR, that looks sweet!
I don't know the value but PSA gets very good reviews so it looks like you got a nice upper.
May want to look at a forged lower down the road but if the polymer lower works i don't see why you'd need to. Some others here may have more experience with polymer lowers and/or reasons why you might want to keep it or not.
As far as the markings on the barrel-
mp- Magnetic Particle Tested
chf- Cold Hammer Forged
cl- Chrome Lined
all good things for reliable/durable battle riffle
psa- Palmetto State Armory
Since you have an AR now you might want to read AgentTikki's AR Primer and the other stickies, great info there!

I've been seeing a lot of these poly lowers lately. I don't know a lot about them though. It looks like you have a pretty nice AR otherwise. The lower might be real good. Get to Goggling and see what people are saying about them. Either way you look at it you have rather a real good AR or the beginnings of one . SAo it's a win-win

Polymerlowers are pretty much junk in my opinion. There isnt alot of stress that happens to a lower but the bit there is the poly ones dont handle it well.
The previous owner picked a really nice upper then put theworst lower on it.
If it was mine i would swap it for an aluminum lower and set the poly one in the back of the safe for the ohsht thats comimg rapidly

Good upper. I'd get a new lower that was forged. The history on these poly lowers seems to end up the same. A company stands up and floods the market with affordable polymer lowers stating that they are improved over past models from other companies who tried and folded. Then after they make $55 for every $59 dollar lower they stop selling them. Change company names or sell the production to the next folks who want to make a fast buck.
For $20 more most folks could have bought a good forged lower on sale or with a cosmetic issue at worst. Now with the post election freak-out lowers are going to be hard to find for a while at reasonable prices.

You didn't get ripped off. The upper is high quality and that's where the real heart if an AR is, especially the barrel.

I agree with the others above. Definitely get a good forged lower and put good parts in it. There's a chance the parts in the polymer lower are worth reusing but I wouldn't take that chance. You have a good upper and it should have a quality lower to go along. Better to sell or put aside that lower.
All you have to do is look at that crappy lower to know what you've got to do.

Its a done deal!
The next step is to buy a metric sh*ton of ammo and have at it!
Enjoy! Be sure to wipe that stoopid grin off your face at the end of every sesion, its just plain juvenile. :P
We expect a range report and tons of porn. Cmon dude a couple pics aint gonna cut it.
Also keep and eye on the areas around your pins on your lower, let us know how it goes.
