One of the biggest visual differences between a lower quality LPK vs. a higher quality LPK is the roll pins. Lower quality kits use split pins, which are harder to work with. Higher quality kits use spiral roll pins, which are more consistent and easier to install. Prices are all over the map, even for the same brand. Colt is known to be "The" kit. LMT is regarded similarly to Colt, but Colt is still King. Beyond those two, it is all subjective. With that said, I consider Spike's LPKs to be a good deal for a quality kit and can be found in the $60 to $70 range. They use spiral roll pins and they use KNS turned lower parts.
