I have three that work for me because of the number of people I have that will be tagging along. They are a AKM (romanian), a Stoeger P350 or 870, and a semi auto 22 of some sort and what pistols they want to carry. Also maybe a 30-30 or a 7mm rem mag depending. Plus gear and what not. Mostly hunting but also works for personal defense.

30-30 and 30.06 are the Chevy 350's of ammo in the USA, you can find them anywhere!

I would have my XD40, 12g pump, AR15, and to top it off a M141 (SMAW-D), shoulder fire anti bunker buster!!!

As many as I can usefully carry. I've got enough to choose from. I guess it depend on the situation at hand.
