Under $850 and of the ones mentioned in this thread? PSA.

Bushmaster Carbon 15. Quarter sized groups with the supplied red dot. They're on sale Thanksgiving weekend at Cabela's, $649.99

Stay away from this ^^^^^ some have problems some dont , stay with a aluminum receiver and it will out last you .
For the money your looking to spend its going to be hard to beat the PSA for quality . I own 3 PSA rifles and they will eat what ever you put to them , steel or brass, I have had no issues with any of them and I have one rifle thats had over 6000+ rounds thru it
The first rifle I put the link to will leave you room in $$$ for a scope , RDS and ammo . now go get it
Heres what I suggest , this one will come ready to shoot , iron sights and a bargain price compared to some of the other crap that out there .
$719

Little more money but yet still a fine rifle and in your budget , MOE gear $799

Little bit more $$$ but still affordable and you get a RDS optic with a no frill lifetime warranty $899

Avoid the carbon 15. Go with the S&W m&p 15. A friend of mine just bought one for $700. Only features missing was the forward assist, and the dust cover. ( who really ever uses either anyway. )
$700 bucks and you got yourself a damn fine AR. Cheers.

M&P 15 Sport is the very most in value at around $650. I've been looking for one for months. But nobody has them right now. Doesn't have a dust shield or forward assist, and I'm glad it doesn't. Smith &Wesson is way behind on this model. Eventually production will catch up. Then I'll spring for one. I refuse to pay an inflated price from Gunbroker.com etc.
Here's an excellent 33 minute video review on it.

If I had 2 to have one today, I'd buy complete. If you can wait: wait...demand has sky-rocked! Then, assemble your own.
