as long as its reliable and affordable! Any suggestions ??

Several M&P rifles. The Sort can be bough for $600 + or - and leaves nothing needed behind.

If your gonna spend less than $900 I suggest in high regards the M&P15 Sport. I am very impressed with mine. Great rifle.
If you can find a Stag in your price range, get it. You will not be disappointed with Stag.

S&W M&P. I was going to get one until they sold out @ my LGS. A lot of rifle for the money.

Don't get an Olympic. I sighted in one for a neighbor, all I could get was a 3-4 inch group at 30 yards, and was almost out of adjustment on the windage to do that.

Windham weaponry for sure 849.99 with carry handle. I love mine and have had no trouble with it.
