The tritium in the back is 2 smaller dots and don't seem as bright as the.front one, so it's not at all distracting.

I'll just stick to a flash light and a pistol for now. Lol.

I was thinking they would be bright like the ones on my pistols.

Ya the front is a bit brighter and that's where your attention should be focused. The rears are more of a guide but not focused on.

QUESTION

For those with more build experience than I. Starting my first lower build with a Del Ton stripped lower. Trying to decide on a complete upper.

Have been leaning toward Dan. Def. but of course they are a little pricey.

Today I checked out Surplus Ammo And Arms. Question is "Chrome Moly" (I think it said 4140 chrome) is that the same as a chrome lined barrel. All of my other AR's have been bought complete and are Chrome Lined. Any input will help. Thanks.

Chromoly is a type of steel. It does not mean chrome lined. Which is a seperate proccess. Hope this helps.

For a low buck but still reliable upper take a look at PSA, JSE surplus, DSA or Windham Weapons. For a little more gilt RRA, Daniel Defense or YHM build fine products. Noveske, Colt, FN, VLTOR, Black Rain, Mega Arms and Seekins Precision are the gold standards in my book. I know I left some out! Someone else with a different focus can suggest others...

Chrome lined is important on CQB type rifles. High precision varmit type rifles are usually unlined stainless steel. Chrome Moly, unlined, is usually low dollar economy rifles. Not nessisarily bad barrels, just not as resistant to wear and corrosives proof as a good chrome lined barrel.
