Yes the 1:7 will shoot 55gr bullets just fine. However as a rule the 1:7 normally likes the range for peak accuracy of 69 grain. But will even handle in the 70+ very well also. But at 50-110 the 55s will shoot decent also.

If you just cutting paper what's it matter, I use cheap tula steel casings. $5 box at academy sports.

Got the best results with black hills 62 gr green tip.
One things for sure. This is FUN!!
I zeroed in at 25 yards, then moved out to 100. The Tula is some dirty crap!!

Glad you had a good time. I took my new one out today too. I used 55 gr Federal and PMC Bronze with no problems
