Russian Ammo.s are know to have really hard primers.

I'm an idiot, for some reason I was thinking the op had cycling issues.

The first thing I'd be looking at for light primer strikes is the hammer spring. A common problem is having it installed backwards.

Allright gentlemen I've reassembled the trigger group and gave it a thorough cleaning... I'll be back on Sunday with the results

You might want to take along a second AR. If trouble persists you could swap uppers to determine whether it's a light hammer or something in the upper.
