Default Varmint = Heavy ?

Does Varmint barrel mean heavy barrel? I'm trying to decide but don't want to get another heavy barrel yet I really like RRA Varmint barrel.

I'm looking at .223 from Rock River, I'll double check the twist rate. Thanks for the suggestion.
