Default Urgent, need information

I have a chance to buy a Colt AR 15 in 9mm tonight or tomorrow. It is used and has a price of $847 OTD. It is in excellent shape. My local gun shop owner, who is a friend of mine owned the gun first. It is now for sale. He says at first it had some trouble with 115 gr. 124 gr is fine, but after it broke in, the 115 seems to be fine. What do you all think, should I jump on this or has this particular gun had issues that I want to avoid?

Without actually seeing it, it sounds like a good deal to me.

I guess the first question is do you really want a 9mm AR? Myself, I'm just not interested in a 9mm carbine. It is a Colt which is good but for that money I have a lot of other things I'd rather have.

Usually buying on impulse or in a rush is a bad idea.

I have a KelTec S2000 in 9mm and I like the platform. I would get rid of the KT and put the cash toward the Colt. Most in door ranges let you only shoot pistol caliber rifles, so in that regard, it is functional. No, I am not going to war, but it is a Colt and the platform is likeable. I have two other AR15's, so I don't need one of those.

I'd sell the KT and buy the Colt in a New York minute!

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

KT traded and Colt has a new home. I will try to get out in the next week or so and give it a test run. It has a removable sear block, so if I want to spend the $ I can replace it with a FA sear-that is what I understand.

Nice upgrade from the KelTec! I have no answer for your new question.
