Yes thanks for the input. Still cannot decide between Spikes or BCM upper. Really think for first build I should do a match set.

Veskeshootr, all's well here, too. No doubt it is hard to infer actual meaning in someone else's writing unless emoticons are used. Anyway, we're all on the same side here.

Nothing wrong with using the same brand upper and lower as long as they're of good quality. Quality is more important than matching but it sounds like you'll be happier with a Spikes upper (and it is a quality unit).

Both are a quality upper and lower for that matter. Some like Spike's others like BCM. Either one is a fine choice for low or high round count. Get the one you want and you will have a fine rifle.

Here is what I am thinking.

Spikes lower (already have)
Spikes enhanced lpk
Magpul acs carbine stock
Spikes mid length upper 16"
Troy 13" alpha rail
Probably nikon optic
Bipod
