Upgrades
Besides the grip (will be picking up the full MIAD kit next week), what kind of relatively cheap upgrades/accessories are there?
I've been looking into getting an ambidextrous safety, kind of smaller things like that.

A larger charging handle is a great upgrade. BCM makes a great charging handle in a few diff sizes. So is a Magpul B.A.D lever. A sling makes a big difference in unsupported shooting. Like others have said good mags and ammo. A good free float rail is cool as well. A stubby or AFG will help w/ accuracy too.

Lotta great options above!
Assuming you have magazines and ammo, I have to agree with Dillinger and lonyaeger on the sling. You really can't go wrong with a quality sling that simplifies things for you. Problem is there are so many types and you can't try them all.
I thought I was happy with my sling until I stumbled across a used CQB Solutions 3-point at a gun show. It was only $10 probably because it was for a fixed stock but one cut in the right spot and a short strap of webbing and velcro modified it for a telestock. Amazing sling! Spectergear.com now sells these slings and TheWilderness.com sells the Giles sling which is pretty much the same. Both are about $35-40. Condor sells something very similar for about $15, I was just in my local Army/Navy surplus store and the Condor looked surprisingly good.

Of course if you don't like a 3-point there are other options...

A sling is definitely on my list.
The foregrip is another thing I've been thinking about, but have yet to find a comfortable looking one, (or feeling as I've seen a few at the Gun show).
The larger charging handle is another good idea. What brands seem to be the highest quality, and is there something specific to look for in them?
Thanks guys!

You cant go wrong w/ a BCM CH. I use the #3 and that seems sufficiant enough for what I do.
