I've never been a fan of putting any kind of aiming apparatus on plastic, or hand guard that's not attached to the barrel nut. If you want front sights, they should be attached to a gas block, or a rail that isn't going to move.
I personally would go with a FF hand guard that locks into/ onto the barrel nut for the most stable platform.
When you put your front BUIS on your stock hand guard, you lose some sight radius too. With a FF hand guard, you can stretch that radius out a bit. I love putting 15" rails on 18" barrels and 12" guards on 14.5" barrels just for that. Plus it looks pretty rad.
That's just me though, other people on here may have different thoughts.
