Default Uh Oh - Now LaRue Went & Did It.

Based on their kick ass 7.62mm OBR (Optimized Battle Rifle) Mark LaRue and company have launched their new 5.56mm line up.

What do you guys think?

I saw the 7.62 in their brochure and drooled.... and drooled.

Couldn't get the link to work though, JD.

Try that Lon - It works on my end. It should take you to the OBR part of LaRue's sight and directly into the 5.56 OBR part.

Should look like this:

I am inclined to agree with you. A buddy of mine recently wanted a piston upper, but after a lot of talk and research, he settled on getting one of the LaRue Stealth Uppers. It took like 8 weeks to get here, as they are on back order, go figure.

So, the box shows up, as promised on the delivery date, and inside there was the upper ( FANTASTIC FIT AND FINISH ), but there was a ton of extras in there. The usual bumper stickers, a copy of the constitution, a Tactical Beverage Tool and then there was some LaRue Rib Rub and a cool low-profile LaRue hat. Granted, one can say they charged plenty for the upper, but that is just it. They didn't NEED to send all the extras, the upper was perfect ( without test firing it ).

Needless to say, I am getting brow beat into buying a Stealth Upper and I am not exactly fighting the good fight.

Lon - You have a LaRue don't you? How's it shoot?

JD

Not a LaRue rifle...just a QD mount for my AR, a rail, and a couple other accessories.

If LaRue is an option, LaRue is the answer.

There are lots of excellent AR makers, but the LaRue Stealth is a work of art. And as a company, LaRue has no match. Their service is beyond excellent.

My partner has a Stealth, and it shoots really well. Especially with Mk262, or BHM equiv.

Another friend in CO has one and he had his local SWAT Team snipers drooling over it after a few rds.

Here is my partner's. The Leupold 3.5-10 Police scope has been replaced with the new IOR 2.5-10 FFP MP8 1/10thMil knobs.

JD, you talking about the dillo dust? Lon sent me some of that a while back and it was great on the turkey I bagged a few months ago.

From what I see, I'd love to have one of their rifles but it just isn't in the cards at the moment.

That's the stuff Spitty. Smells really good, but I have not tried it yet.

Consulting the finances, it would appear I too have a low point in the weapons fund where one of these LaRue's should be going.
