Another vote for the MOE. There's no question of it's durability. You may find something that appeals more to you aesthetically, but you'll spend twice as much and it will make the rifle heavier. The only thing better than the moe is a quality free float rail IMO.

Check out ABARMS hand guard. Fit great in your hand and has the best heat shield going. There are some videos on youtube about them.
The contour in the grips give you a real solid comfortable grip. I tried magpul, but liked ABARMS better.
