My DDv7 loves anything I Can feed it, usually grab a couple extra boxes of Tula whenever available. Have NEVER had a ftf/fte or any type of jam. Just slightly larger groupings, and it definitely is a little bit dirtier ammo. But for 5 or 6 bucks a box it's all gravy.

My view is that some rifles have tolerances that don't match up well with the expanding steel- when it is designed for brass. And I keep my rifle very very clean.. I'm sure that has something to do with it. I clean all in the areas/crevices where the upper meets the barrel. Some solvent and a q-tip bent 90* at the tip makes it easy to reach.

Some brands will eat it up, others get jammed consistently. Just look around and see if people with the same setup are having problems...

The other week I shot about 300 rds of Tula witrh a buddy through my LMT MRP Piston and his Delton DI Middy.
No problems except one bolt failure to go into battery.

Last year,i wanted some ammo for practice for my Stag.The gun store i use had a little Georgia arms,and Tul ammo.I've shot,roughly 160 rds of Tul thru it.I had one misfire.That said,when i broke it down to clean it,it was dirty.If that's the worse,that happens,i can deal with it.They charge 7.25 a box,and unless,it's online,i can't find any as cheap as that,not yet,anyway.

Polymer is not as bad a laquer. Either can cause problems in a hot gun.

the main reason I hate steel is how dirty it is... but my DDM4 has no issues with it and right now steel is the only thing cheap enough to shoot

I've run Tula through my PSA AR quite a bit, never had an issue. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones, either that or they are just unlucky

One thing is for sure, there are more problems with steel case ammo, than for brass.

Before plunking down for a few cases of steel, it'd be prudent to purchase a small amount to make sure your baby will eat it.

My best assumption for this problem is to sell the upper and buy one that will run everything I dont like picky eaters
