Default Troy Defense 5.56 Carbine

My LGS has one of these and I didn't realize Troy made rifles, I always though of them as an accessory supplier. Anyone have one of these neat rifles yet? The more I look at it the more impressed by it I've become.

They're fairly rare, at least I've never seen one first hand. Dicks Sporting Goods sold them last year for about $800 but I never saw one at ours. I wasn't that interested because for the same price you could put together a better PSA or Spikes AR. I'd try to find the specs because it seems there were corners cut, surprising since it was Troy.

The one at my LGS that I've been looking at appears to be top self with no cut corners. The Troy free floating handguard is the most striking feature as it's very narrow and comfortable, also the front sight folds down into it. I see these Troys on auction sites going for $1300/1500 range. If I could find one like Dicks was selling for $799 I'd snap one up without hesitation.

Dicks dropped all MSRs as far as I know
