Once you have installed the Troy Alpha rail onto the upper, how hard is it to install more rail attachments? Will it require me to remove the Alpha Rail?

I have a gunsmith shaving the front sight down and installing the Alpha rail. I am not confident in my ability to install it myself.

Anyone who has experience with the Alpha rail. Im wondering if I need to position rails before or after installing the handguard onto my AR.

Installing the rail sections is not difficult...once you figure out how to slide those little f'n tabs to the openings inside the tube. Actually one of these helps get into places where no fingers can reach...

Seriously, the rail itself comes off and goes back on in a snap...three screws, no jam nut or anything to worry about. Either install the rail sections before you mount it or slip it off and add the rails. No special skills or tools needed, it will fit over both the gas block and any flash hider you have installed.
